Partnering with local fisherman to save the ocean from plastic.

To celebrate Corona’s achievement of a net-zero plastic footprint in 2021 and to support the brand’s ongoing commitment to protecting the sea, Corona partnered with Ogyre, a non-profit organisation dedicated to removing plastic from the ocean, to launch the SalvaMare project.

The initiative encourages local fishermen to bring back the waste they find at sea and compensates them for it, just as they would be for their catch.

The collected ocean waste has been transformed into the SalvaMare collection, giving new life to materials recovered from the sea.
